Indicator NameNational immunization coverage
Short definitionWHO and UNICEF collect and review data available on national immunization coverage. Then estimates on the level of immunization coverage are made by using officially reported data, survey results, scientific literature, and by taking account of potential biases and consultation with local experts. The gap between the international estimates and the government official estimates therefore suggests that the estimation method adopted by the country differs from the internationally recommended practice.
