Short definitionImport and export price indexes measure changes in the price of goods and services in international trade. They are used to deflate the value of imports and exports.
Long definitionImport and export price indexes measure changes in the price of goods and services in international trade. They are used to deflate the value of imports and exports. Import price index is also used as an indicator of future domestic inflation.
