These are expected to be insignificant. (iii) Other debt liabilities, in particular regarding insurance, pensions and standardised guarantee schemes are currently not captured in public sector debt. (iv) Part of external debt data are captured through annual surveys that are available after a one year lag for incorporation in the external debt statistics.

6.1 Main data source(s) for the external debt statistics(i) The sources for Government external debt data are loan agreements, notifications of disbursements by creditors and notifications of payments by the Bank of Mauritius (BOM). The Ministry of Finance also maintains debt data for extra budgetary units, local government and financial and non-financial public corporations from information submitted on a template by the organizations on a monthly basis. (ii) The current source for compiling private external debt data by BOM are the banking records, which provides monthly data that are complemented by annual surveys of both resident enterprises and Global Business Companies - Category 1 (GBC1s).
